Product information
The 520M IV Analyzer is a general-purpose source meter capable of sourcing voltage(current) and measuring current(voltage) with 4-quadrant operation for simultaneous real-time sourcing, sinking, and measurement. Its multi-range architecture andautomatic compliance protection enable stable I-V characterization of advanced electronic devices and materials, while thebuilt-in photocurrent measurement channel supports optical measurements during electrical testing.


High-Precision Sourcing & Measurement
The MOTiV 520 is a high-precision source meter operating across a ±200V voltage and ±1A current range with 100μV / 100fA resolution. With four operating modes — VSCM, VSVM, CSVM, and CSCM — it freely sources and measures both voltage and current, reading the source voltage/current and the AUX channel (up to 1V / 10mA) simultaneously on a single screen. Compliance settings let you cap output to protect the device under test, while selectable 2-Wire and 4-Wire connections preserve accuracy even in fine measurements.
Flexible Graphic Touch Display
The front panel features a graphic touch display whose layout adapts freely to the measurement at hand. You can show a single large reading; two or three values at once — source, main measurement, and AUX — as numeric readouts; a numeric value paired with a live waveform; or the source and measurement waveforms side by side. Waveforms can be zoomed in and out, and results can also be reviewed in a time-stamped table view. Set parameters directly on the touchscreen, reach frequently used functions through dedicated physical keys, or fine-tune values with the dial.
Versatile Measurement Software
The measurement software supports DC measurement for applying fixed conditions, Sweep measurement for stepping through conditions to trace device characteristics, and Transfer Curve measurement for transistors. Data is captured in a measurement buffer of over 250,000 samples for immediate on-screen I-V review, and connects to a PC via LAN or USB (wireless optional) for management. A built-in photo sensor measurement capability also lets you evaluate optical characteristics alongside electrical measurements on a single instrument.
